Beautiful!!! The cinematography is simply stunning in this movie. It was just as pleasant to view it at as it was to take it in. The prime key that created such beauty was capturing the essence of the gentle moments that captivate you. It was marvelously done. The music and vision for each scene gives the right feeling for the script, very well balanced in telling this story. For those who where expecting more on his achievements and contributions, this might not have been the ideal film for you. It initially follows his marriage and illness progression.
Perhaps the most impressive feature about this movie though is the acting. If Eddie Redmayne does not receive the Academy Award for best actor, I will eat both of my shoes. He does an astounding job of replication and characterization. It was somewhat unexpected, as I did not know the film would show his life progression as far as it did. Eddie grows with the progression of time perfectly. Excellent writing and production as well. It might just be my favorite out of all the nominees this year. It pulled on my heart strings very deeply, for which I am grateful. I started to compare this to A Beautiful Mind, however in memory, the two are completely different. When I remember A Beautiful Mind I think of sadness. The Theory of Everything encompasses hope and beauty in the ability of life. It is a tough journey, but well worth it in the end. Excuse my long-windedness. If you couldn’t tell, it was my favorite <3!
