Being the fact that this whole thing was a flippin nerdgasm for me from the start and I wouldn’t accept any less, I was floored. I literally could have just sat there until the next one started up. YES, it was that good. I know how this much hype can ruin much anticipated movies and was prepared, but didn’t need to hold back. I just let go and felt the force in full measure.
Let’s talk plot and how undeniably well this worked. Even if you are not exactly knowledgeable of “all the things”, you can still get a handle as it is easily laid out. The action was non-stop and demanded my attention at every turn. The introduction of the new characters was seamless as they fit right in. Boyega and Ridley deserved to lead the way. They where fantastic in their delivery. Of course, I enjoyed the return of the classic characters as they gave me goosebumps upon entry. The screenplay/script was amazing as well.
J.J. Abrams is a special kind of director that seems so entirely capable of taking a dream and transposing it to big movie splendor easily. He did it with the Star Trek reboots. If I’m being honest, there really was no doubt in my mind that this would not fail. That kind of trust is important when spending my money and time on Hollywood productions. I expected greatness and received just that. It might seem a bit crazy to say this might be the movie of the century, but crazy might be making a lot of sense right now.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Go watch this in theaters, for the love of Obi Wan… It’s really one to watch and hear in a big way. Don’t miss out!

This is going to be difficult to do without spoiling it. Lol Overall I feel this movie was great. I’ve heard people say that it’s better than the originals. That’s hard to say because the originals are more than just a good movie to many of us. It’s kinda a part of our growing up. Anyway…
What’s good. Finn and Rey. If we didn’t get Mark, Carrie and Harrison back, the new characters would carry this movie just fine on there own. Finn and Rey were great but two other characters kinda stole it for me. In episode 8 I want more Poe! From his first scene he was awesome. And as much as I love R2, BB8 will steal your heart! I dare you to try not to love this droid. So much personality packed in a soccer ball! The comedy between the characters is surprising and well done. There is ton of chemistry on screen and that works. And let’s not forget Adam Driver. Kylo Ren Is a villian in his own league. If Hayden Christianson did Anakin like this I think episode 2 would have been much better. This is definitely the best acted Star Wars ever. (Sorry Liam, you did a great job though).
Ok. It’s hard to go into much more without spoilers so maybe I’ll come back in a week or so when the world can finally talk about this movie!!! Grrrrrr. The only thing I’ll say is that I felt there were inconsistencies and a few convenient plot devices that troubled me. And a major event happened in the movie yet no one really seemed concerned about it. (Not the major event you might be thinking of if you saw it). I think I left Star Trek (JJ’s, the first one) with more excitement about that franchise than I fell about this franchise after leaving it. Overall, 4 on a 5 eyeball scale for me.
