Ip Man returns! This is the story of Master Ip, that is called on once again to protect his city from ruthless gangsters, one of them being Mike Tyson. It is great at creating the same feel of the first and second, though it is not as good overall. If you enjoy “good” martial arts and historical Asian interest, you should delve.

The Lady in the Van

This film tells a true story of a relationship that forms between a woman who parks her van for 15 years outside a Londoner’s drive and beguiled tenant. The buzz is that it’s full of great acting and off-kilter humor. Also, Maggie Smith rocks. Just putting that out there. I will have to watch this one as I have been told that it’s worth it.

The Revenant

From winning the big screen to now on the small, Leo’s big win is here. This story captures one man’s crazy adventure of survival in the uncharted American wilderness. Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar for this role and the buzz is that the technical aspects are breathtaking. It’s on my list and soon to be reviewed!

The Syndrome

Documentary lovers, this one might be for you. It follows a group of doctors, scientists, and legal scholars uncover the truth behind “shaken baby syndrome” cases and theory. Though I am not super invested in the subject matter, I am still intrigued. I do love a good documentary and this seems very interesting. The buzz is that it is very credible and smart.
