Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Unlike DC, Marvel is proving it’s worth again and again. Viewers, like me, depend on Marvel to deliver and not to disappoint. Like this one and all that have come before, it’s gold. The Captain America franchise is now one of the brightest stars shining in the superhero industry. It’s really no surprise, with it’s stunning cast, super fun surprises, and action-packed nature. I only had one qualm; the premise really could have been solved peacefully with more dialogue, making the civil fighting irrelevant, BUT why do that? That’s no fun. We’d rather watch our favorites go head to head and then eventually patch things up.

I was impressed from the git-go with the very first scene, it’s turned up. I love a great opening scene that gets the blood racing. I noted in some of the fight sequences there is a slight focus on stunts rather than CGI based action. I appreciate this focus as we are getting further and further away from that. Of course, it is loaded with the latest in fancy graphics, but not bogged down anymore than it has to be. It’s also a “fun” superhero movie. Sure there are conflicts, but they don’t take it too seriously. There are still funny lines and situations that make us giggle. I feel a movie of this nature needs that to create it’s ambiance. Without, it just feels a bit dull.

Lastly, one of the golden stars of the movie is it’s superhero surprise cameos. By now, you already know one of them, of course no one could keep that anticipated merger a secret. Another pops up, as I had no idea would be included. I will not tell you, but inject that the cameos make it fun and exciting. The dialogue fits the crazy antics properly and does not take away. If you want to see this one, don’t be a cheap skate, go big or go home. I say this as an extremely thrifty person, but this is my passion. The big screen is still my home and probably will be until I retire. Movies like this one make it worth-while.
