Following in the footsteps of Davinci Code and Angels & Demons, this adaptation of Dan Brown’s bestseller finds Tom Hanks using Dante’s The Divine Comedy to prevent a world-wide pandemic. The others in the series are winners, but this one falls short in reviews. Critics say it’s not as smart as predicted and far less complex.

More of the romantic type? The Light Between Oceans beats a night alone!

A tragic romance of fate, love,  and moral dilemmas in considering how far this couple will go to reach their dreams. If Michael Fassbender curls your toes than this might be for you. It proved positively with viewers stating that it feels very true to it’s nature with stunning visuals.

Classic monster movie night is back with The Monster!  

Classic horror monster movie here featuring a mother and daughter stranded out in the middle of nowhere, but of course… not alone!  This has mixed reviews mostly saying that it’s a reminder of the classic creature features from the 40’s and that it could obtain potential cult status.

Can’t get enough war movies? USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage serves up!

Nic Cage is trying to be relevant again in this true to life tale of World War II American heroes shipwrecked in shark infested waters. Sadly the buzz is that this re-telling does not do the actual event justice and that it lacks drama.

If documentaries are more your style there is Antarctica: Ice & Sky

From the Oscar winning director of March of the Penguins, this one focuses on the first findings of clear man-made global climate change that Antarctica has given researchers. It’s part, thoughtful memoir, part call to action. Critics give attention to the risks and bold en-devours involved in creating this film and how the subject matter is easily accessible for even those with no science background.
